Selena Gomez shares rare insight into Benny Blanco proposal

Selena Gomez has provided a rare insight into her romance with Benny Blanco – and his romantic proposal.
The Hands To Myself singer has been in a relationship with the record producer since June 2023 – and they delighted fans by announcing their engagement in December last year.
Now Gomez has been teasing details about the moment Blanco got down on one knee – but revealed that this secret will be passed down in her family.
Sitting down for a joint interview with Interview magazine, Blanco was asked how he proposed – but Gomez interjected, “That I want to save for our kids. It was really sweet and the right things were said.”
While the discussion clearly revealed that the pair have plans to start a family, Blanco did, at least, give a little insight into his romantic proposal.
He revealed, “It was the sickest surprise that she had no idea about and it couldn’t have come at a better time because I was starting to f**k up.
“The thing that makes me so crazy is, you’re getting engaged, and right before, they’re like, ‘Show me how good of a liar you are. Sneak around and try to do this perfect thing without me knowing.’
“At the end, she was starting to get upset because she was like, ‘Why aren’t you coming home tonight?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m just at my friends’.’ I almost did it early. But I nailed it, I think.”
As a Valentine’s Day surprise to fans, the couple announced on Friday that they are releasing a joint album, titled I Said I Love You First, on 21 March – with lead single, Scared of Loving You, out now.
