Selena Gomez has revealed that her song Lose You to Love Me made Taylor Swift cry.
The 32-year-old singer and actress has shared new details about her long-standing friendship with the music superstar.
In a new interview with iHeartRadio, Selena explained that she often takes her songs to Taylor, 35, to get her opinion before they are released.
“She definitely will say, ‘That one’s okay. I think that one’s good.’ It’s just very helpful,” Selena said, insisting that she appreciates Taylor’s “super honest” opinions.
“I like to see what she thinks,” the Only Murders in the Building star added.
The Calm Down hitmaker then revealed that Taylor and her mother Andrea Swift became particularly emotional when they heard Selena’s 2020 chart-topping ballad Lose You to Love Me.
“There are other knockouts, like when I played her Lose You To Love Me before it came out and she and her amazing mom started to cry, and then I started crying,” she recalled, adding that the moment was “very sweet”.
Selena also revealed that she sometimes previews Taylor’s songs and never has any constructive feedback.
“She’s done the same. I would never be like, ‘That’s a terrible song,’ because she’s so freaking good!” the Single Soon singer praised.
Selena is currently promoting I Said I Love You First, her collaborative album with her record producer fiancé Benny Blanco.
