A docuseries about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been announced days after his arrest.
It was announced on Wednesday that Investigation Discovery and Maxine Productions are making a documentary about the rise and fall of the rapper and record producer.
The news comes shortly after Combs was arrested in Manhattan, New York, on Monday and charged on Tuesday with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to a press release, the docuseries will explore the “allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that have trailed the music mogul. As accounts of sexual assault, abusive behaviors and other disturbing claims surface, the doc traces the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unraveling allegations of a pattern of depravity.”
At a hearing in Manhattan on Tuesday, Combs pleaded not guilty and was denied bail.
The 54-year-old will remain in custody pending the outcome of his trial. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, with the possibility of life imprisonment.
Over the past year, Combs has faced a series of allegations of physical and sexual abuse. Allegations against the music mogul include staging and recording “freak-offs” and hitting and kicking women.
The yet-to-be-named docuseries will feature interviews with alleged victims, as well as friends and colleagues of the artist.
The series is expected to premiere in 2025.
