Post Malone has received multiple Country Music Association Awards nominations after his recent country music pivot.
Morgan Wallen leads the way with seven nominations for the 2024 CMA Awards, followed by Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton with five nods each.
Meanwhile, Malone and Lainey Wilson have been nominated for four awards each.
Malone, who is up for awards including Single of the Year and Song of the Year for his song I Had Some Help (Feat. Wallen), released his first country album F-1 Trillion in August.
The singer recruited several country artists to appear on his new album, including Wallen, Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton and Luke Combs.
The 29-year-old hitmaker has been making a name for himself in the country music scene over the past year. He performed with Wallen and HARDY at the 2023 CMA Awards and appeared on Beyoncé’s debut country album Cowboy Carter.
Other nominees for this year’s CMAs include Jelly Roll, Combs, Kacey Musgraves, Shaboozey and Megan Moroney.
Wallen hasn’t won at the CMAs since winning Best New Artist in 2020. Months after his win, a video of him using a racial slur circulated online.
Meanwhile, Stapleton has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year for the eighth time, although he has yet to win the award. He is up against Wallen, Jelly Roll, Wilson and Combs.
Notably, Beyoncé’s country album, which made history this year by spending four weeks at the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, received no nominations.
The 58th Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on 20 November.
