Post Malone is “not sad anymore” after working in Nashville, Tennessee.
During an appearance on Apple Music’s Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen this week, the hitmaker revealed that he felt “so welcome” in Nashville, where he made his first country album, F-1 Trillion, which was released on Friday.
“It’s really nice meeting people in Nashville that made me feel so welcome and new friends and kind of building new stuff,” Post shared, adding, “And for once I’m not sad anymore. I’m happy, very happy.”
The Congratulations hitmaker told host Kelleigh that he has been able to slow down since making the album and “made a lot of lifelong friends” in Nashville.
Post, real name Austin Post, went on to compare working in Nashville to Los Angeles.
“L.A. is L.A. and working here, I’ve always felt very distracted and it’s nice to go to Nashville and really just meet people who are the best at what they do and who are super kind and super talented,” he explained.
The artist went on to claim that “someone (always) wants something from you” in LA, whereas that’s “something I didn’t see often in Nashville”.
Post, 29, has been teasing his foray into the country music scene for the past year. He performed with Morgan Wallen and HARDY at the 2023 CMA Awards and appeared on BeyoncĂ©’s country album Cowboy Carter.
The singer recruited several country artists to appear on his new album, including Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton and Tim McGraw.
