Nelly Furtado wants to record song with Drake

Nelly Furtado has set her sights on recording a song with Drake.
Following a long hiatus from the music industry, the singer-songwriter released her seventh studio album, titled 7, in September.
During a recent interview for the Call Her Daddy podcast, host Alex Cooper asked Nelly to name her “dream collaborator”.
“I still think it would be cool to have a song with Drake, I think people would love that,” she said. “Because we’re both Canadian. Toronto lore, you know? I think it would be really good.”
Nelly went on to recall how Drake recently invited her to perform alongside him at an event in Toronto, Canada. However, the I’m Like a Bird hitmaker declined the offer because it was so last-minute.
“He asked me at 11pm to show up at 1am. I love him to death, but I was like, ‘I’m not showing up without glam,'” the 45-year-old laughed. “Because, of course, he’s so famous, it will be everywhere. I couldn’t make it that time, but anyways, I love him a lot. He’s a great guy. He really put Toronto on the map in a different kind of way and Canada in general.”
Nelly admitted she watched a video of Drake’s performance that night and noted he “looked good” in a yellow tracksuit.
“But then I’m like, ‘What would I have worn? Pink?’ Because then it would have been all videos of all yellow and you know, what colour? That’s what performers do, you always think about what things pop. Especially in pop music,” she added.
