Kylie Minogue confirms Tension tour for 2025

Written by on September 20, 2024

Kylie Minogue has announced her ‘Tension’ tour for 2025.

The ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ hitmaker will set off on her biggest tour for over a decade with 20 dates currently confirmed and more “to be announced soon”.

Kylie’s tour will begin in her home country Australia before taking in stops in Bangkok and Tokyo as part of the Asian leg.

The 56-year-old star will be coming to the UK in May with a performance at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro arena before playing in Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, London, Nottingham and Birmingham.

Kylie said in a statement: “I am beyond excited to announce the ‘Tension’ tour 2025. I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the ‘Tension’ era and more.

“It’s been an exhilarating ride so far, and now get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action… and there will be a whole lot of Padaming.”

Minogue has also announced that a new studio album ‘Tension II’ – the sequel to her 2023 record ‘Tension’ that featured the smash hit track ‘Padam Padam’ – will be released on October 18.

It was reported earlier this month that the star was planning to go “all out” for the tour following the success of her Las Vegas residency that finished earlier this year.

An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Kylie has made no secret of her desire to be back on the road beyond Vegas and her festival gigs this summer.

“She’s known for her big-budget shows and this upcoming tour will be no different.

“Kylie has multiple tour promoters on board and, thanks to the success of ‘Tension’, her budget has grown so she’ll be going all out with her shows.

“Kylie will play a raft of major shows across the UK next year because she wants to play to as many of her fans as possible.”
