Justin Timberlake has cancelled his free London show due to illness.
The singer announced last week that he would be performing a free one-off show in London on Friday, but he has now cancelled it.
Justin took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday, explaining that he was “gutted” to have to cancel the concert after suffering from “some kind of bug”.
“This is an unfortunate video I have to send out,” the 43-year-old said in a scratchy voice in the clip. “But I’m sure you can tell from the sound of things that I am not going to be able to make it to the show on Friday, which I’m gutted about.”
The Cry Me a River singer continued, “I’ve been here in London all week and was so excited to perform Roundhouse. But… I’ve been battling some kind of bug and I thought it was getting better but it took a turn for the worse.”
Justin then explained that he attended a taping of The Graham Norton Show earlier in the week to perform his single Selfish and “almost didn’t make it” because he felt unwell.
“But this morning I woke up feeling worse than ever,” he added. “I feel terrible. I hope none of you get this flu.”
In the caption, he wrote, “London, I promise I’ll make it up to you… Now I gotta go back to sleep.”
On Friday, Justin announced that he had added several U.K. and European dates to his tour, The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which will kick off on 29 April.
The new U.K. dates include shows in Birmingham on 7 August, Manchester on 8 August and London on 11 August.
The former NSYNC frontman also released Drown, the second single from his forthcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was, on Friday.
