Jon Bon Jovi is opening a honky tank in Nashville.
The Bon Jovi frontman and his bandmates have announced the bar and restaurant JBJ’s Nashville is set to open on Lower Broadway in spring 2024.
According to Rolling Stone, it will be taller than Broadway, the tallest building in the entertainment district.
The ‘It’s My Life’ hitmaker said: “When Big Plan Holdings and the team of Josh and Tara Joseph asked us if we were interested, it wasn’t because we were just another rock band.
“It was because we are a band with deep roots in Nashville. We have had wonderful times in Nashville recording several albums and working with some of the finest people in all the music business.
“I can’t wait to toast all of Broadway and get to know our neighbours!”
The rock star business owner previously opened the non-profit community restaurant JBJ Soul Kitchen in 2011, which now has additional restaurants in his native New Jersey.
In 2006, the 61-year-old musician founded the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation to assist with homelessness, poverty and hunger issues in the US by providing affordable housing, social services, job training, and much more.
And, amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, they set up the JBJ Soul Kitchen Food Bank to feed those in need.
He said: “Nearly two decades ago when I formed the JBJ Soul Foundation and JBJ Soul Kitchens, I saw firsthand and continue to see today the impact of charitable, community-based work.
“I know this for sure: Helping one’s community is helping oneself.”
The ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ hitmaker was just honoured as the MusiCares Person Of The Year for 2024, for the JBJ Soul Foundation, on February 2.
